The best thing I did for myself in 2009 was signing on to work with Ana Browne of Anabell’s Fitness, and it will be the best thing I continue to do for myself in 2010! Prior to Ana, I consistently put in the time to try and stay in shape with cardio and light weights, but I wasn’t getting toned or losing weight, and I definitely did not know how to properly lift weights. I attempted to use the equipment at my neighborhood fitness center but ended up injuring myself lifting heavier weights the wrong way. I ended up in physical therapy and wasn’t able to effectively work out for months.

After that experience, I vowed to do the right thing and hire a trainer. But it couldn’t be just any trainer! Ana was recommended by someone who had observed her training another family. I wanted an experienced, positive and understanding female who would prevent further injury by teaching me the fundamentals of weight training. Ana is my dream trainer! Not only does she look amazing herself, but she has a fun and bubbly personality and keeps me encouraged while always emphasizing proper form. I had never heard of a kettle bell before I met Ana, but Ana and her “bells” have inspired me! She watches my form closely and shows me what changes to make to protect myself and strengthen my core.

Wow…was I ever doing things the wrong way! When we first started training together, I literally could not do one push-up. I was embarrassed about my non-existent upper-body strength. Now after just a few months I am strong enough to do 3 minutes worth of push-ups, and I can swing a 35 pound kettlebell! I have lost inches and weight, and I believe I am stronger than when I was in my 20s. I feel and look better, and my muffin-top has disappeared! Best of all, Ana comes to my house and I can do my workouts privately with very little in the way of equipment. I’m enjoying buying new clothes because my old wardrobe is now too baggy!

I consider working with Ana an investment in my career as well as a gift to my well-being and health. I highly recommend that you give Ana Browne a try if you’re ready to finally hit those fitness goals!
